Heat pumps and noise
I live in a bungalow with (mostly) bungalows around me. The properties are all detached but relatively close to each other. My bedroom is at the rear of the property. When I'm in bed at night it's totally silent. Bliss.
I sometimes wonder if this nighttime silence would be maintained if any of my neighbours opted to get a heat pump. The logical place for them to be installed would be at the rear of the properties i.e. where most of the bedrooms are and back gardens all back on to each...
