Removing masonry paint from render: how to manage the mess?
I did a quick experiment with my jet washer, which seems to have the desired effect (see pic below) removing the blistered paint back to what looks to me like relatively sound render. A second pass is clearly needed before treatment and repainting. This was just a quick try.
My question is how to reduce the mess. Paint flakes fly off *everywhere*. Do professionals use some kind of temporary screening or cowling hood when doing similar. Or would permeable ground sheets trap paint flakes but...
